22 June 2010 - ST THOMAS MORE FEAST DAY MASS

Organised by Catholic Lawyers Guild (CLG) to commemorate the feast day CLG’s patron saint of lawyers, St Thomas More. Members of CLG and their families are welcomed to attend this Mass which will be celebrated by His Grace the Archbishop, Nicholas Chia on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 6:30pm at St. Joseph’s Church, Victoria Street. Dinner and fellowship to follow.

26 June 2010 - Caritas Members' Forum

Greetings from Caritas Singapore!

I wrote to you in January this year to inform you that the Members’ Forum 2010 will be held on Saturday 26th June at Catholic Junior College (CJC) from 9am – 2 pm. Kindly mark this date in your calendar. I would like to extend the invitation to 3 more members from your organisation. Appreciate if you could let Raymond Yong ( raymond@caritas-singapore.org or tel no. 63341625) have the names of your representatives by 31 May as this will help us with the logistics and planning.

In his encyclical, Caritas in Veritate, His Holiness Pope Benectic XVI tells us that “justice is inseparable from charity, and intrinsic to it.” We have therefore picked the theme Charity & Justice – Can they be separated? for this year’s Forum. Come and join us as we learn how to apply the Church’s teachings in our work for the poor and disadvantaged. Come also for the fellowship. Look out for our detailed programme which will be sent to you before the Forum.
